Capri 3 by Jahquel J
Whew. Jahquel really said, “Y’all thought this book was slow? Let me wake everybody up real quick!” Because BABY…the last few chapters of Capri 3 had me stressed, laughing, shocked, and side-eyeing everybody at the same time.
From Tasha’s suspicious behavior and Cappadonna getting shot, to Morgan showing his true colors, to Menace appearing out of nowhere like a wrestling entrance — this book turned into pure chaos in the best way possible. And don’t even get me started on the banter because I was literally laughing out loud reading some of these scenes.
I have QUESTIONS. Theories. Concerns. Opinions. And we’re talking about ALL of it.
Was Tasha set up? Is Morgan pulling more strings than we realize? Are Aimee and Don headed toward something messy? And can we PLEASE discuss Des and PaPa RIDING like they were the original city boys back in the day?!
Let’s get into this Capri 3 discussion because I know I’m not the only one losing my mind over these last chapters.
Capri 2.5 by Jahquel J.
WHEW 😮💨💙
This book got me in my feelings BAD. Capri & Peach’s relationship honestly touched me more than the romance at times because that kind of love between a woman and a child she CHOOSES to love is so real and rarely talked about. 🥺✨
And babyyyy Aimee had me stressed OUT the entire read 😭🤦🏾♀️. I had thoughts, opinions, side-eyes, and a whole lot to say about Capella, Quameer, Capri, Peach, and everybody else.

‘Very peaceful. Very get the fuck from around me.’ Mannnnn, Quameer had me HOLLERING 🤣 And when he told Brandi, ‘If I wanted to marry this fucking truck and have our daughter officiate it, I don’t have to say shit to you’… BABY 😭😂. Jaquel J. really knows how to make these characters feel alive because the dialogue be taking me OUT every single time.
I’m not even gon’ lie, when Morgan started talking about informants I just knew Forty had folded 😳. The way everybody rolled up at Tasha’s house one by one though? Smooth as hell. Meanwhile Tasha crazy self over there thinking she could take all of them down 😂🥴. Listen… the way I picture the Delgato men? Whew chile 😭💙

Sons of Audiemar by SL Partee
“It’s Getting Late” by Mel Dau
This isn’t just a story about relationships—it’s about timing, truth, and the weight of decisions made in the dark. And just when you think you have it figured out… it’s already getting late.
✨How late is too late for you?
✨How do you feel about mother son relationships?
✨Would you move your life for the idea of a new life that possibly brings love?
“The Bride of a St. Rowe Millionaire 2” by Kimberly Kelz
This blog dives deep into ALL of it—the drama, the growth, the chaos, and the questions we’re still stuck on.
✨ Did Izzy finally grow up?
✨ Was Mo wrong… or justified?
✨ And let’s be real… is Jasmine REALLY gone?
“The Bride of a St. Rowe Millionaire”
The entire time I read this book I was thinking these are children being moved around like chess pieces. I don’t know why but I did it. First thing first, as we all know, Maddox is a p.o.s. Come in let’s talk about it!
“Capone 1” by Jahquel J.
In the first paragraph the author, Jahquel J., had me hooked. Not to quote her exactly, the first paragraph asked the question, how can I be in love with the love of my life’s brother-in-law, the nosey-ness in me was like WHAT? And boy was I thinking so wrong.
Listen… if you love drama, twists, and characters that will have you side-eyeing every decision, this is your kind of read 👀📖 The storyline pulls you in FAST and doesn’t let go—secrets, tension, and unexpected turns keep you flipping pages like “just one more chapter” (we all know how that goes 😅).
My thoughts on The Delgato Family all begins here!
